Kathy Weeks
Founder
Kathy is the Co Founder of Matthew Syed Consulting and Mindset Analytics. She developed the Mindset Advantage psychometric based on her work on growth mindset in individuals and organisations. Mindset Advantage is the first tool to be able to measure growth mindset and has been described as unique by the British Psychological Society in their accreditation.
Prior to founding Matthew Syed Consulting and Mindset Analytics, Kathy worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and UBS. Kathy also worked for HM Treasury managing the bailout of Northern Rock and Bradford and Bingley during the financial crisis in 2008.
Kathy is also the author of the children's fiction series What's New, Harper Drew? These are laugh out loud, action packed novels for children aged between 7 and 12. She has also worked on the non-fiction titles You Are Awesome, Dare To Be You and What Do You Think together with Matthew Syed. Kathy spends time in schools helping to build resilience and confidence in children.

Founder
Matthew is the Co Founder of Matthew Syed Consulting and Mindset Analytics. Matthew’s work explores a thought-provoking approach to high performance in the context of a complex and fast-changing world.
In his previous career, Matthew was the number one England table tennis player for almost a decade, representing Great Britain at the 1992 and 2000 Olympic Games.
Matthew is an author, a highly acclaimed speaker in the field of high performance, a multi-award-winning journalist for The Times and The Sunday Times and presenter of the popular BBC Radio 4 programme, Sideways.
Matthew also works very closely with the education sector to help improve mindsets in schools and young people. He is an active founding member of the charity Greenhouse Sports and an ambassador for the PiXL Educational Foundation.
Helen Deavin
Managing Director
Helen is our Managing Director helping some of the world’s leading organisations to embed inclusive growth mindset behaviours and practices to achieve measurable culture change and improved business outcomes. Since joining MSC in 2018, Helen has expanded our products and services as well as growing the team and client list.
Helen is a senior business leader with over 30 years international experience gained primarily in the Human Capital Management, Professional Services & Technology sectors, working for global public, private & PE-backed companies who are market leaders in their field.
Helen lives in South-West London with her husband, teenage daughter, teenage son, and two cats. She loves walking in Richmond Park, learning yoga and volunteering for local charities.

Emma Lee
Chief Psychologist
Emma is our Chief Psychologist where she has over 18 years’ experience in helping organisations address their most pressing talent challenges. She specialises in applying the science of psychology to improving performance at all levels. Emma leads the creation and delivery of leadership development programmes, based on growth mindset and diverse thinking, that drive measurable performance improvements for individuals, teams and organisations.
Prior to working with us, Emma spent eight years at SHL as part of the Global Professional Services team. She worked with local and international clients and teams to successfully design, scope, deliver and measure the impact of large talent selection and development projects. Emma has a breadth of experience, having worked in professional services organisations with a range of public (emergency services, councils, government departments, education) and private (financial services, telecoms, tech, retail) sector clients across her career.
Emma holds a Master of Psychology (Organisational) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. She is a Registered Psychologist in the UK with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Emma lives in London, although she originally hails from Australia. She enjoys travelling, and learning about different cultures and cuisines.

Joe Comfort
Operations Director
Joe is an experienced project and programme manager with over 10 years’ experience. He is responsible for managing the delivery of many of our client projects as well as supporting and developing our network of accredited partners. He also oversees the management and ongoing development of our core client and partner systems and processes.
Before joining us, Joe worked across a variety of industries including professional services, worldwide events and the technology sector, in public, private and PE-backed companies.
Joe enjoys walking his dog in the Surrey hills and occasionally playing his guitar. He’s a passionate football supporter and is extremely competitive at Table Football. He also enjoys gaming whenever time allows for it.

Andy Tolley-Smith
Analytics Director
Andy is our Analytics Director and works with our team of psychologists to extract rich and actionable insights from the wealth of data from our Mindset Advantage psychometric. He brings 10 years’ experience in data analysis, visualisation and automation. Andy’s favourite motto is, “if it is highly repeatable, then get a computer to do it”.
Andy joined us on a full-time basis in 2022 having previously worked with our co-founders as part of the core team on the development of the Mindset Advantage psychometric tool and reporting in 2017 and as a contractor thereafter. Prior to this, Andy worked in the energy industry focussing on demand and price forecasting on a UK- and European-wide basis.
Andy lives in the West Midlands with his wife and pesky whippet where they all enjoy getting outside as much as possible.

Ken McIntosh
Business Development Director
As Business Development Director, Ken works with clients and prospective clients to understand the current and future challenges they face and works with the team to develop and deliver targeted and high quality solutions to address them. Ken takes pride in providing the highest quality of service to meet each client’s individual needs.
Ken joined the team after a highly successful career as a chief police officer. He was inspired by reading Black Box Thinking and attending a keynote address by Matthew Syed, both of which resonated strongly with his experience as a chief police officer. Ken initially worked with us to develop programmes for policing and the broader emergency services, and he now works with clients across both public and private sector.
Ken lives in North Yorkshire with his wife and two dogs Hunter and Volti. They all love to walk in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and Ken (a non-runner to date) is currently training for his first ultra-marathon!

Agi Luty
Managing Consultant
As a Managing Consultant, Agi is responsible for designing high-impact development programmes and workshops based on growth mindset and diverse thinking. She is also engaged in analysing the results of teams and organisations using our unique psychometric to inform these initiatives and help clients gain actionable insights.
Agi has a degree in psychology and more than seven years of experience in talent management including selection, development and performance. She has worked with organisations across multiple sectors and geographies to design, develop and support the implementation of a range of solutions underpinned by psychometric assessments.
Prior to joining the MSC team, Agi worked as a Talent Performance Manager, developing new talent management programmes and supporting over 150 HR professionals worldwide in the implementation of these initiatives. She also brings extensive experience in employee engagement and change management.
Agi loves the mountains, is a keen snowboarder and lives in Salzburg, Austria, with her partner and two cats.

Darya Mishyna
Business Psychologist
Darya is an experienced Business Psychologist and Management Consultant specialising in talent, culture, leadership, workforce transformation, and change management.
Darya has over 6 years of experience working in talent selection & assessment, envisioning, designing, and delivering innovative and robust talent solutions to global companies across industries. She has also worked as a workforce strategy consultant, helping organisations reskill, retool, redeploy, and reimagine talent to create new methods, structures, and ways of working. Darya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology.
Darya is an avid reader and a fitness enthusiast. She lives in Paris with her husband and son.

Sarah Buckle
Project Coordinator
Sarah plays a vital role in the smooth delivery of client projects, liaising with multiple team members for scheduling, logistics and materials. She also provides a range of support services to our accredited partners as well as ensuring that our the Head Office is equipped, organised and running smoothly on a daily basis.
Sarah previously worked in the retail sector for a number of years and brings a wealth of experience in a variety of industries including fashion, food and luxury travel.
Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. She loves all things arts and crafts, is a keen baker and cake artist.

Anelle Utepova
Associate Consultant
Anelle is our Associate Consultant, supporting pre-sales and assisting the psychology team with a number of tasks including the design of our leadership development workshops, analysing data and surveys to measure changes in growth mindset, and conducting research on topics related to growth mindset and cognitive diversity.
Alongside holds a BSc in Neuroscience at Queen Mary University of London. She has a particular interest in neuroplasticity, which is the ability of our brain to flex and change in response to our environment and habits.
In her free time, she also enjoys swimming, learning new pieces on the piano and finding exciting and underrated (and cheap!) food spots in London.

Ruth Cawdron
Product Marketing Manager
Ruth is our Product Marketing Manager, responsible for increasing awareness of and demand for our growing products and services offering. She brings to the team a wealth of experience in building and executing go-to-market strategy with a data-driven methodology.
Prior to joining us, Ruth worked in marketing across a variety of sectors including technology and education. She prides herself in 'specialising in generalism', working across the full marketing spectrum including digital, content and field marketing.
When she's not working, Ruth spends the majority of her time playing ultimate frisbee, competing for her local club in London as well as for Great Britain Women.

Rob Hurst
Client Relationship Manager
Rob is a customer service professional and considers himself lucky to have supported some of the biggest international brands across multiple industries. After studying Economics at University, he worked in the Financial Services sector before moving into Human Capital space 16 years ago.
He has previously worked with key players in the assessment industry and has a wealth of experience across both selection and development and really enjoys opportunities to partner with customers and help them realise their potential and make an impact.
